Microsoft increases the version of Silverlight to 2.0. Before Silverlight 1.0 was released at September as competitor for Adobe Flash. Current 1.0 version allows interaction through JavaScript. New version adds .Net support and will cover more developers.
By Microsoft representative Silverlight 2.0 release will be available by the first quarter of 2008. Versions both for Windows and for Mac OS will be released. After that Microsoft will work on Linux version.
